Article 1 (Purpose)
These terms and conditions set forth the terms of use, procedures, and other necessary matters for the seoulmate service (hereinafter referred to as the "Service") operated by Contentsbest (hereinafter referred to as the "Company").
Article 2 (Definitions)
The definitions of terms used in these terms and conditions are as follows:
1. "Service" refers to all services related to seoulmate provided by the Company.
2. "User" refers to members and non-members who use the services provided by the Company under these terms and conditions.
3. "Member" refers to a person who has registered as a member by providing personal information to the service and continuously receives information from the service and can continuously use the services provided by the Company.
4. "Non-member" refers to a person who uses the services provided by the Company without registering as a member.
5. "Post" refers to text, photos, videos, and various files and links in the form of symbols, characters, voice, sound, images, videos, and other information posted by members while using the service.
Article 3 (Effectiveness and Changes of Terms)
1. These terms and conditions become effective when posted on the service screen or otherwise notified to users.
2. The Company may amend these terms and conditions to the extent that does not violate relevant laws when necessary, and in such cases, the Company shall notify users of the fact that the terms have been amended and the content of the amendments on the service screen or by other means 7 days prior to the effective date (hereinafter referred to as the "Effective Date").
3. Users may terminate the service use contract if they do not agree with the amended terms. However, if users continue to use the service after the effective date, they shall be deemed to have agreed to the amended terms.
Article 4 (Conclusion of Service Use Contract)
1. The service use contract is concluded when the user agrees to these terms and conditions and applies for service use according to the procedures set by the Company, and the Company approves this.
2. The Company may not approve applications in the following cases:
- When service provision is technically impossible
- When using a false name or another person's name
- When providing false information or failing to provide information required by the Company
- When the user has previously lost membership qualification under these terms
- When applying for purposes that violate laws or public order and morals
Article 5 (Service Provision and Changes)
1. The Company provides the following services:
- Chat service
- All other services provided to users through additional development by the Company or partnership agreements with other companies
2. When there are changes to the content, usage method, or usage time of the service, the Company must post the reasons for change, changed service content, and provision date on the initial screen of the relevant service before the change.
Article 6 (Restriction and Suspension of Service)
1. The Company may restrict or suspend all or part of the service in the following cases:
- When unavoidable due to maintenance of service facilities
- When normal service use is hindered due to power outage, facility failure, or surge in usage
- When there are other force majeure reasons such as natural disasters or national emergencies
2. In case of service suspension under this article, the Company shall notify users according to the method specified in Article 8. However, this may not apply when prior notification is impossible due to reasons beyond the Company's control (system failures not due to intentional or negligent acts of the system administrator, etc.).
Article 7 (User Obligations)
1. Users shall not engage in the following acts:
- Registering false information when applying or modifying information
- Stealing others' information
- Modifying information posted by the Company
- Transmitting or posting information other than that specified by the Company (such as computer programs)
- Infringing on intellectual property rights of the Company and other third parties
- Damaging the reputation of or interfering with the business of the Company and other third parties
- Publicly displaying or posting obscene or violent messages, images, sounds, or other information that violates public order and morals
- Other illegal or improper acts
2. Users must comply with relevant laws, provisions of these terms, usage guidelines, precautions announced in relation to the service, and matters notified by the Company, and must not engage in acts that interfere with the Company's business.
Article 8 (Notice to Members)
1. When the Company notifies members, it may do so through the email address in the service unless otherwise specified in these terms.
2. For notices to unspecified multiple members, the Company may substitute individual notifications by posting on the service bulletin board for more than one week.
Article 9 (Company Obligations)
1. The Company shall not engage in acts prohibited by relevant laws and these terms or acts contrary to public morals, and shall make its best efforts to provide continuous and stable service.
2. The Company must have a security system in place to protect personal information (including credit information) so that users can safely use the service, and must publish and comply with its privacy policy.
3. If the Company deems opinions or complaints raised by users regarding service use to be justified, it must handle them. The Company shall communicate the processing progress and results to users through bulletin boards or email regarding opinions or complaints raised by users.
Article 10 (Limitation of Liability)
1. The Company is exempt from responsibility for providing services in cases where service provision is impossible due to natural disasters or equivalent force majeure.
2. The Company is not responsible for service disruptions caused by user fault.
3. The Company is not responsible for loss of expected profits by users through the service, nor for damages caused by materials obtained through the service.
4. The Company is not responsible for the reliability, accuracy, or other content of information, materials, and facts posted by users on the service.
Article 11 (Governing Law and Jurisdiction)
1. The interpretation of these terms and disputes between the Company and users shall be governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea.
2. In case a lawsuit is filed regarding disputes arising from service use, the court having jurisdiction over the location of the Company's headquarters shall have exclusive jurisdiction.
